Connecticut Corsair

In 2005, Connecticut Corsair worked with Connecticut State Legislators to have the F4U Corsair officially designated as Connecticut's State Aircraft. Connecticut Corsair uses the Corsair restoration project to inspire and encourage students of all ages to study math, science and engineering. Elementary children enjoy learning about the Corsair on the ConneCT Kids website. High school students learn practical application of their CAD computing skills when working on a real life project. University interns make SolidWorks parts using microfilm, manuals, and original parts.
